Poem for the day

I saw a little scarecrow
Outstanding in his field
He couldn't see outside it
So all was not revealed

I saw a little corvid
To window flew from wall
It pecked it's own reflection
And then became fuck all

REJ:- Hmmm....perhaps not so clever after all. I think I'll do the Will Self delusion instead.

  1. I heard a regal raven
    Knock knocking at the door
But as I went to greet him
    He just said, "Nevermore"
    Perhaps it was a shadow
    A mimic rat tat tat
A trick to catch an echo
    Turned clever copy cat
    Reflecting is indiff'rence
    And truth a one-way glass
    That magnifies inference
    Before its feel can pass

  2. I was the shadow of the waxwing slain
    By the false azure in the windowpane;
I was the smudge of ashen fluff - and I
Lived on, flew on, in the reflected sky. x
